Scripture Luke 10:1-20

Teaching Pastor Dr Larry Osborne

The book of Acts― written by a doctor named Luke - begins where the Gospels leave off. Luke, a traveling companion on the apostle Paul, writes in great detail of the actions of the apostles and the work of the Holy Spirit. It covers the 30 year span of Christianity from the resurrection of Jesus to the time when Paul was in Rome.

As a follow up to our second all-church "Weekend of Service" last weekend, Pastor Larry takes us back to the very first Weekend of Service in Luke 10:1-20. He reviews how the 72 messengers Jesus sent prepared to depart, served others, and reported back. Larry also explains why it needs to happen again and again, as words without good deeds lack credibility, and also good deeds without words lack eternal impact. Genuine spirituality loves God and loves our neighbors.
