I Timothy is a letter written by Apostle Paul to a young pastor named Timothy at the church of Ephesus. Paul was concerned about the church of Ephesus and gives Timothy advice and instructions on how to lead a church and how the believers should behave in God's church. As we explore I Timothy, we will find that this advice still applies to the church today. This is another "mark-it-up" series designed to help you to treat your Bible as a life textbook. Read it, mark-it-up and cross-reference your Bible so that it becomes your manual for life.
As we begin to look at Chapter 4, Paul instructs the Church on how to recognize legalism, and to avoid trying to help God out by placing extra rules and regulations on church members. Pastor Larry also discusses three verses often taken out of context by legalists.
